Today we have some exciting news! We talked with our packaging manufacturer and all of the new coffee bags are finished and have shipped out! This means we SHOULD have them here sometime next week and once they land will be roasting and shipping out coffee! It sounds like there was some sort of issue with the facility that caused a delay that was complete out of their or our control. Definitely apologize for the wait but unfortunately things like this happen and we are at the mercy of the universe.
ANYWAYS be on the lookout for orders starting to ship soon! :D
New Packaging Updates (and nightmares lol)

Greetings adventurers! Sorry for the lack of updates, things have been super busy and chaotic here. With this being our first time running a Kickstarter I am just not used to doing regular updates on here as well as on our social media and such so I completely just spaced doing an update on here which is my bad! Anyways here we go!
Coffee Packaging Delays
So our biggest hurdle right now is in our coffee packaging itself. One of the biggest reasons we turned to Kickstarter in the first place was to help pay for the packaging we use for our coffee. Getting full-color printed coffee bags like we use require really large minimum order quantities, which means for us to launch a new product we need to be able to buy a minimum of at least 5,000 bags at a time in an order for it to be cost effective. This cost REALLY adds up when trying to launch new products.
Our packaging manufacturer we have been using makes extremely high quality bags, with excellent interior liners and degassing valves that lead to coffee staying super fresh for longer than a lot of other bags we have seen PLUS they look phenomenal. The major downside with them though is that communication...isn't their strongest ability. When we submitted all of our designs for all the new coffees, the confirmed receipt of them and we explained we needed rush processing and shipping to get them to us as quickly as possible. Apparently there was some issue with their facility that has caused a delay, but not one told me about that until only a few days ago.
As of right now I am waiting to hear back on when their ETA on shipping out our bags is going to be, they said we should know by the start of next week so once I know that I will make another update on here. The packaging is really all we are waiting on and once its here we can start roasting all your orders and shipping them out! As soon as they land here, orders will begin shipping right away as we have everything else ready to go for the roasts themselves.
Plushie Manufacturing Update
So lets talk plushies now haha. This one is a bit more complicated. We worked with Corgibeans to design our plushie, which we absolutely LOVE by the way, and they knocked it out of the park. The issue has come down to manufacturing. Our goal with the plushies has been to make sure they are affordable so that everyone can get a cute dragon plush of their own. Originally we were given a pretty solid quote on the unit cost which allowed us to price them at $30ea for kickstarter and still make some profit. After our campaign ended and we went to pay for the plushies, the manufacturer suddenly drastically increased the price. They became so expensive that we no longer would be able to realistically get them manufactured without taking a massive financial hit. They also increased their timeline they would need to manufacture and ship them to us which would take an extra couple of months.
With all of that on our plate we had three options:
1 - Use them and need to order less plushies, lose money, and not be able to take them with us to events this year.
2 - Cancel the plushies all together and refund everyone who preordered one.
3 - Look for a new manufacturer.
We settled on 3 and started looking for a new manufacturer. We reached out to a few of our other friends who have done succesful kickstarter campaigns as well to see who they used for plushies and got in touch with a new company that is going to be able to make the plushies for MUCH less and get them to us faster.
We don't want the plushies to be a delay in coffee fulfilment because now these are going to take another couple of months I suspect, so our plan is to start shipping out coffee as soon as we can and then once the plushies land we will ship those separately.
The Grand Brewl Is Awesome
So we have finished our latest playtest of The Grand Brewl and it is hilariously fun! We have probably one more play test to do with a new ending that we came up with for it and then it should be done. Once this is finished up we will be sending out everyone's digital codes for the adventure so you can start playing it right away. We are so excited to hear all about your wild adventures in Brewscale!
Things Are Moving Forward
Everything is still moving along, just a bit slower than anticipated. These unforeseen manufacturing delays are annoying but not the end of the world. Once I hear back from the bag manufacturers we will have another update soon and still expect to be able to start shipping this month. You are all amazing and we love each and every one of you.

Packaging and Production Update!

Bag Packaging Complete
Greetings adventurers! Sorry for the lack of updates, things have been wild around here. For those of you who haven't followed along on our socials and website, we have been in the middle of moving into a new headquarters location so I have just been slow to update on here, so I apologize for that. Rest assured though, that doesn't mean anything is delayed on our side with everything so I wanted to update on campaign progress!
First, since we have all these new coffee roasts we needed to design packaging for anyways we decided to do a minor packaging overhaul at the same time. When it comes to ordering full color coffee bags like we use, there are really big order minimums you have to meet in order to make them possible. We got all of the new designed finished and sent to our printing company last week, so now we just play the waiting game for those to come in.
Grand Brewl Art Assets Complete
We are currently in the final testing phases of the Grand Brewl and it has been so much fun! We have all of the art assets and Front/Rear cover done, which you can see above, and are finished with the main design layout of the adventure. We have one more session of retuning the final encounter and will have these finalized soon! Once that is done and everything is signed off, we will get everyone's digital downloads out to you as well!
Plushie Manufacturing Delays
We ran into a snag with our plushie manufacturer and are waiting on some resolution for that and final numbers with production costs. We should have that squared away this week (hopefully) and will have an update with the final design to share in another update soon!

As of right now we are at 332 out of 481 surveys completed. If you have finished paying for your pledge, your survey should have been sent out to you. For those who are doing the pledge over time option, surveys will go out to you as soon as the last payment is made.
You can always make changes for your coffee choices at any time until we lock the surveys before we ship out coffees so there is no harm in filling it out early and then making changes later if you are unsure what you want.
