August Shipping Update + Thanks For The Love!

Look at all those plushies!
Greetings adventurers! Been about a month since our last update so I am here to provide another one! Things are moving along nicely, we have ironed out a bunch of annoyances with integrating Kickstarter into Shopify through Backerkit, which i touched on before but its finally working a lot smoother. We had to write a whole hecking web app to be able to get them to talk to our store for shipping fulfillment, which was a BLAST hahaha. I would have never known or guessed that it is so hard to get order and shipping integration through a third party service if you aren't using KS specifically for fulfillment, but now we know in case we ever decide to do another campaign here.
Plushies are done with manufacturing and are making their journey to us here in Colorado which is one of the most exciting things of all time! Production is also underway for the PHYSICAL copies of the Grand Brewl for those who got one and will be getting here soon!

I also wanted to give a shout out to everyone that has been sending us messages with love and support. Kickstarter has been a LOT of crazy issues and learning for us. Since we are an established company that is already transacting business online there have been so many hoops we have had to jump through to make all this happen. Now I know why most campaigns run into issues and have fulfilment problems on here haha
BUT that is all to say, for everyone that has been emailing us and sending messages on here and on socials with your kind words it has meant so much! You keep us going and fueled so thank you!
Update Frequency
Just because you don't see a bunch of updates on here, doesn't mean we aren't working our scalie tails off to send out your delicious FRESHLY ROASTED beans! We can't stockpile goods like with a board game so we are roasting EVERY order freshly before it sends out. Lots of care goes into the process and for those who have been understanding and supportive, you make us the happiest dragons! We truly have the honor to be able to work with the most amazing community on the planet!
When I first started this campaign I set out with the intention of only creating updates when there was something new to discuss or something has changed. I have been operating under that thinking with shipping updates as well BUT I have had a couple of people ask for more frequent updates. Currently If we haven't been posting updates it is because we are working as normal and roasting + shipping orders with no issues. If you would like us to put out more frequent updates that just say "everything is still shipping as normal" let us know and I have no problems doing as much too. I am here for you and will do whatever works best :D
We also have a monthly blog post that recaps our travels on our website, for those of you curious what has been happening outside of Kickstarter.

The team that is working on fulfilling all the kickstarter orders, as well as our regular online business, are not monitoring Kickstarter messages. The Grand Brewl: Digital Edition - Fully Delivered

The Grand Brewl is FINISHED. We wanted to make sure that our first adventure was polished and ready to go before we released it to the world and we are super happy with how it turned out. We had many rounds of play testing that went into it and completely rewrote the ending after one of our last rounds of testing which has led to the finished product. This adventure ended up being so much fun and in all the rounds of testing we have done, everyone has had a great time!
Anyone who backed our project should have been sent a digital copy yesterday to download. It would have gone to your email address associated with backerkit, if not, please reach out to us via email so we can get you a download link. You can email at [email protected]. We will respond to email SO MUCH faster than kickstarter messages and comments just a heads up.

First Wave Of Orders Shipped! + Update On Progress

Greetings adventurers! Today we wanted to give everyone an update on fulfillment progress! So something they don't teach you in school is how much work Kickstarter can be, and how much is involved in getting delicious coffee out to the world! There are so many steps we didn't expect to get our Shopify storefront tied into BackerKit which was tied into kickstarter, to be able to start fulfilling orders. Yes... It was annoying haha.
Almost Everything Has Made It To Our HQ
We have been dealing with production woes all over the place but we have nearly everything at our warehouse now. I put together the chart above to show all the things we are waiting on and what is here. This campaign has had a lot of moving parts but I am happy to report the majority is here.
First Wave of Orders Shipped
Since we have a functioning E-commerce site already, we wanted to be able to use that for our order fulfillment platform which required a bit more finagling to get to work with BackerKit. Thankfully it is all working now and our first tests have shipped out smoothly!
The Grand Brewl Is Finished!
We finished all our playtesting for the Grand Brewl, as well as all the steps needed to assign it an ISBN and begin production. Digital rewards for the adventure should be going out to everyone this week and physical copies will be going into production this week as well.
Shipping Will Be Ramping Up
Now that we got logistic stuff sorted we will be able to start getting more orders out weekly. We are a small team of only 3 people, so this is still going to take some time since we want to make sure we are able to roast coffee fresh and deliver the best quality beans to you directly. There are a lot of orders and we are getting through them as quickly as we can.
Once again we thank you all for your patience and understanding with this wild new world of crowdfunding that we have gone on. This is our first time EVER doing something like this, so it has been a HUGE learning process. You are all amazing, and we love every single one of you that has helped make this campaign happen!

Coffee Fulfilment Begins!

Today Is An Exciting Day!
As of today we have OFFICIALLY started our coffee fulfilment. We have started to ship out some coffee orders and these will continue on until they are all sent out. Please bear with us as we are a small team and in the middle of event season so we have a bunch of conventions we will be at over the next couple months which will make shipping a bit slower but it will all still get done!
We are still waiting on some of our merch pieces, such as plushies like we mentioned before, but as of now we can send out all the coffee. If you have some of our merch that isnt in stock yet due to being manufactured still, we will do our best to send out the coffee first and then the merch pieces as it gets in.
We are making a few tweaks to the Grand Brew adventure based on our latest playtest session so those are not finalized yet, once that is done you will all get your digital codes for the adventure as well.
Thanks again for all your patience while we try and navigate the world of Kickstarter and crowdfunding. This is our first time doing something like this so we are having to learn a LOT of different processes along the way.

Let's Talk About Plushies! (NEW Design Almost Finalized!)

Look at this little cutie!
So today I wanted to go into all the struggles that is the world of making plushies. First, look at how cute this little dude is! This is the most recent prototype from our new manufacturer, we have one more round of small changes and fixes we sent to them but this is REAL close to the final result. We should hopefully have the final sample done in about 2 weeks then it will go into manufacturing.
Secondly, and most importantly....
PLUSHIES WILL NOT DELAY COFFEE SHIPMENTS
We have faced many unforeseen setbacks with everything and plushies ended up being a big ol pain. If you got an add-on plushie, those will ship at at later date but your coffee will ship out as soon as its ready, so no worries about this delaying your sweet sweet bean juice.
So lets talk about all the setbacks with plushies.
Originally we had partnered with someone to design a plushie for us (which is the original design you saw in the campaign) but after the campaign ended and we went to order said plushies, the price suddenly skyrocketed from their manufacturer. The price became much higher than we were willing to pay so in an effort to not lose money we sought out a new manufacturer. Due to reasons outside our control, the new manufacturer required a new design.
This ended up being a huge blessing in disguise as we used this opportunity to spotlight one of our artists Soren, who is amazing! Many years ago she had made a joke sketch about making our mascot Rune into a plushie, and we used this as inspiration for the new design.
The new design is much more cartoony and cuddly, and I just want to squeeze him! All of us here are super excited for this plush and I can't wait for it to be finished and in all of your arms too! Another great boon to this is now that we have direct contact and control of the manufacturer, we can order more plushies or make any changes we want any time! Who knows, maybe this ends up leading to a full line of different plushies in the future 😈
Coffee Update! (Even More Good News)
We finally got all our bags in! So we found out that in fact a portion of our bags did get lost in shipping, it was actually the fault of UPS taking it from California to our warehouse in Colorado. We are still not sure what happened to the original missing shipment, and maybe one day they will just show up, BUT we got enough bags now to start with order fulfillment! We are starting to roast this week and will begin order fulfillment asap! I will have a bigger update on that in a couple days sharing more about it but all good news here.
Again thank you all for your patience while we keep dealing with more and more setbacks that we have no control over. Dealing with customs issues, lost shipments, manufacturing miscommunication, etc. It has been annoying but such is the world of international commerce I guess!
