Coffee Fulfilment Begins!

Today Is An Exciting Day!
As of today we have OFFICIALLY started our coffee fulfilment. We have started to ship out some coffee orders and these will continue on until they are all sent out. Please bear with us as we are a small team and in the middle of event season so we have a bunch of conventions we will be at over the next couple months which will make shipping a bit slower but it will all still get done!
We are still waiting on some of our merch pieces, such as plushies like we mentioned before, but as of now we can send out all the coffee. If you have some of our merch that isnt in stock yet due to being manufactured still, we will do our best to send out the coffee first and then the merch pieces as it gets in.
We are making a few tweaks to the Grand Brew adventure based on our latest playtest session so those are not finalized yet, once that is done you will all get your digital codes for the adventure as well.
Thanks again for all your patience while we try and navigate the world of Kickstarter and crowdfunding. This is our first time doing something like this so we are having to learn a LOT of different processes along the way.

Let's Talk About Plushies! (NEW Design Almost Finalized!)

Look at this little cutie!
So today I wanted to go into all the struggles that is the world of making plushies. First, look at how cute this little dude is! This is the most recent prototype from our new manufacturer, we have one more round of small changes and fixes we sent to them but this is REAL close to the final result. We should hopefully have the final sample done in about 2 weeks then it will go into manufacturing.
Secondly, and most importantly....
PLUSHIES WILL NOT DELAY COFFEE SHIPMENTS
We have faced many unforeseen setbacks with everything and plushies ended up being a big ol pain. If you got an add-on plushie, those will ship at at later date but your coffee will ship out as soon as its ready, so no worries about this delaying your sweet sweet bean juice.
So lets talk about all the setbacks with plushies.
Originally we had partnered with someone to design a plushie for us (which is the original design you saw in the campaign) but after the campaign ended and we went to order said plushies, the price suddenly skyrocketed from their manufacturer. The price became much higher than we were willing to pay so in an effort to not lose money we sought out a new manufacturer. Due to reasons outside our control, the new manufacturer required a new design.
This ended up being a huge blessing in disguise as we used this opportunity to spotlight one of our artists Soren, who is amazing! Many years ago she had made a joke sketch about making our mascot Rune into a plushie, and we used this as inspiration for the new design.
The new design is much more cartoony and cuddly, and I just want to squeeze him! All of us here are super excited for this plush and I can't wait for it to be finished and in all of your arms too! Another great boon to this is now that we have direct contact and control of the manufacturer, we can order more plushies or make any changes we want any time! Who knows, maybe this ends up leading to a full line of different plushies in the future 😈
Coffee Update! (Even More Good News)
We finally got all our bags in! So we found out that in fact a portion of our bags did get lost in shipping, it was actually the fault of UPS taking it from California to our warehouse in Colorado. We are still not sure what happened to the original missing shipment, and maybe one day they will just show up, BUT we got enough bags now to start with order fulfillment! We are starting to roast this week and will begin order fulfillment asap! I will have a bigger update on that in a couple days sharing more about it but all good news here.
Again thank you all for your patience while we keep dealing with more and more setbacks that we have no control over. Dealing with customs issues, lost shipments, manufacturing miscommunication, etc. It has been annoying but such is the world of international commerce I guess!
We love you all, and can't wait for you to try these new coffees!
Bags Are Arriving!

The Wait Is Almost Over!
So we have been waiting on our packaging for the new roasts to get in still but FINALLY got some good news! Our bags are finally getting through customs and are slowly getting released to us! That means as we start getting in the bags we can begin fulfillment! So we figured out what has been going on so let me give a bit of insight into the packaging.
Apparently our packaging made it stateside a few weeks ago but have just been held up in customs. We have been hearing happening this from a lot of our other friends in the industry and sadly its just become more and more commonplace. We haven't been able to get confirmation on it but there have been murmurs of things being tougher with customs being worse since the united states has been involved in a war. BUT either way, we re finally getting our bags!
So far we have gotten some of them but still waiting on the majority of our packaging. As we get our bags we will be able to start fulfilling orders! You are all amazing and we thank you so much for your patience. It has been frustrating dealing with unforeseen delays all over the place and stuff that is out of our control BUT we are going to keep moving forward and providing better coffee to gamers across the lands!
(we will have another update soon with plushie details but waiting on our manufacturer to finish the most recent prototype first!)
Packaging Is On It's Way!

Today we have some exciting news! We talked with our packaging manufacturer and all of the new coffee bags are finished and have shipped out! This means we SHOULD have them here sometime next week and once they land will be roasting and shipping out coffee! It sounds like there was some sort of issue with the facility that caused a delay that was complete out of their or our control. Definitely apologize for the wait but unfortunately things like this happen and we are at the mercy of the universe.
ANYWAYS be on the lookout for orders starting to ship soon! :D
New Packaging Updates (and nightmares lol)

Greetings adventurers! Sorry for the lack of updates, things have been super busy and chaotic here. With this being our first time running a Kickstarter I am just not used to doing regular updates on here as well as on our social media and such so I completely just spaced doing an update on here which is my bad! Anyways here we go!
Coffee Packaging Delays
So our biggest hurdle right now is in our coffee packaging itself. One of the biggest reasons we turned to Kickstarter in the first place was to help pay for the packaging we use for our coffee. Getting full-color printed coffee bags like we use require really large minimum order quantities, which means for us to launch a new product we need to be able to buy a minimum of at least 5,000 bags at a time in an order for it to be cost effective. This cost REALLY adds up when trying to launch new products.
Our packaging manufacturer we have been using makes extremely high quality bags, with excellent interior liners and degassing valves that lead to coffee staying super fresh for longer than a lot of other bags we have seen PLUS they look phenomenal. The major downside with them though is that communication...isn't their strongest ability. When we submitted all of our designs for all the new coffees, the confirmed receipt of them and we explained we needed rush processing and shipping to get them to us as quickly as possible. Apparently there was some issue with their facility that has caused a delay, but not one told me about that until only a few days ago.
As of right now I am waiting to hear back on when their ETA on shipping out our bags is going to be, they said we should know by the start of next week so once I know that I will make another update on here. The packaging is really all we are waiting on and once its here we can start roasting all your orders and shipping them out! As soon as they land here, orders will begin shipping right away as we have everything else ready to go for the roasts themselves.
Plushie Manufacturing Update
So lets talk plushies now haha. This one is a bit more complicated. We worked with Corgibeans to design our plushie, which we absolutely LOVE by the way, and they knocked it out of the park. The issue has come down to manufacturing. Our goal with the plushies has been to make sure they are affordable so that everyone can get a cute dragon plush of their own. Originally we were given a pretty solid quote on the unit cost which allowed us to price them at $30ea for kickstarter and still make some profit. After our campaign ended and we went to pay for the plushies, the manufacturer suddenly drastically increased the price. They became so expensive that we no longer would be able to realistically get them manufactured without taking a massive financial hit. They also increased their timeline they would need to manufacture and ship them to us which would take an extra couple of months.
With all of that on our plate we had three options:
1 - Use them and need to order less plushies, lose money, and not be able to take them with us to events this year.
2 - Cancel the plushies all together and refund everyone who preordered one.
3 - Look for a new manufacturer.
We settled on 3 and started looking for a new manufacturer. We reached out to a few of our other friends who have done succesful kickstarter campaigns as well to see who they used for plushies and got in touch with a new company that is going to be able to make the plushies for MUCH less and get them to us faster.
We don't want the plushies to be a delay in coffee fulfilment because now these are going to take another couple of months I suspect, so our plan is to start shipping out coffee as soon as we can and then once the plushies land we will ship those separately.
The Grand Brewl Is Awesome
So we have finished our latest playtest of The Grand Brewl and it is hilariously fun! We have probably one more play test to do with a new ending that we came up with for it and then it should be done. Once this is finished up we will be sending out everyone's digital codes for the adventure so you can start playing it right away. We are so excited to hear all about your wild adventures in Brewscale!
Things Are Moving Forward
Everything is still moving along, just a bit slower than anticipated. These unforeseen manufacturing delays are annoying but not the end of the world. Once I hear back from the bag manufacturers we will have another update soon and still expect to be able to start shipping this month. You are all amazing and we love each and every one of you.
